**The Franklin Street Color Me Fun race is locally-run and organized by the Franklin Street Events Association, Inc., a non-profit organization focused on bringing FUN to Franklin Street. Of course, we save the best for last, ending the race with a color extravaganza of epic proportions. See the diagram below for the COLOR ZONE specifics. You can eat the stuff if you’d like (we have tried it and don’t suggest it, it is surprisingly high in calories and leaves a chalky aftertaste). As the runners/walkers reach the Kilometer COLORZones, they are blitzed by our volunteers, sponsors, and staff with COLOR. By the end, they look like they fell into a Willy Wonka… tie dyed… vat of colored goodness.Įach kilometer of the event is associated with a designated color: yellow, orange, pink, or blue. And 2) color plastered EVERYTHING at the finish! Runner/walkers begin the 5k at the start line like a brand new pristine coloring book. The Color Run™ event pretty much has TWO SIMPLE rules: 1) White shirts (which we will provide) mandatory at the start line. However, we’re hoping that we’ll eventually have enough money to start making donations to local organizations sometime soon! In order to continue to have stellar events such as this, we have to make our funds somehow. The remaining funds will go back to us to help us pay for this event as well as upcoming future events.
Kids 12 and under pay $15. We will be making a small donation back to the Evansville Running Club for helping us put on this event.

Early registration is $35 and Race Day registration is $40. Whether you are a casual morning mall walker or an Olympic athlete, the 3 miles of The Color Run™ course will be the most memorable and colorful run of your life!įranklin Street ‘ Color Me Fun 5k‘ will take place on April 20th at 8a.m. Color runners come from all different ages, shapes, sizes, and speeds but everyone toeing the start line has a blast. The Color Run™ 5k is a unique experience focused less on speed and more on crazy color fun with friends and family.
